Our annual Night Out gala was held Friday, April 26, 2019 at the Intercontinental San Francisco. Hundreds of leaders and partners in the LGBTQ family justice and education movement came together to celebrate our wins and gather resources to support Our Family Coalition's work in the future.
We honored three amazing advocates this year:
- Zach Wahls, Iowa Senator, received our Luminary Award, for his clarion-clear voice and potent advocacy on behalf of LGBTQ family and gender equity coast to coast.
- Alison Collins, San Francisco School Board Member and community organizer, received our Community Partner Award for her dedication to educational equity for all.
- Amplify received our Corporate Impact Award for their exemplary, pioneering work in inclusive education.

It was an inspirational night, and a deeply validating one: we set an ambitious fundraising goal which, if met, would be generously matched by the Jonathan Logan Family Foundation. And the people in the room stepped up and exceeded that goal!
Once again we want to thank our Champion-level sponsors Brio Financial, Kaiser Permanente, Pacific Fertility Center, Ettinger Foundation, and Pure Storage for setting a powerful example of support.
Likewise we're grateful to our Teacher-level sponsors Amplify, Genentech, Johnston, Kinney and Zulaica, LLP, Katherine Delmar Burke School, Northwest Surrogacy Center, ORM Fertility, Reproductive Science Center, Room & Board, San Francisco Human Rights Commission, Steve Disselhorst & Lorevic Rivera, and Verizon for showing us they have our back.
Our community and our mission are deeply supported, and for this we are so very honored and grateful.
Below are just a few images from that night: check out our 2019 Night Out Facebook photo album to see how much fun we all had.
