Programs Coordinator
Our Family Coalition (OFC) advances equity for the full and expanding spectrum of LGBTQ families and children through support, education, and advocacy. The Programs Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and implementing OFC’s programs and events, ensuring high-quality engagement, outreach, and impact for LGBTQ+ families. This role supports the development, execution, and evaluation of family support, education, wellness, policy and advocacy initiatives while maintaining strong community connections. This position reports to the Program Director unless otherwise directed upon onboarding.
Communications & Design Coordinator
The Communications & Design Coordinator is a creative, mission-driven professional responsible for designing and delivering high-quality communications, visual content, and digital outreach that advance the organization’s programmatic and fundraising goals. This role serves as the primary design and digital communications resource for the organization and works within the department of Advancement & Outreach, ensuring that our OFC’s brand, storytelling, and public presence authentically reflect the communities we serve.
Salary Range: $25 – $28 per hour
Communications & Partnerships Manager
The Communications & Partnerships Manager (CPM) is a senior, mission-driven communications professional responsible for leading the organization’s communications strategy, content, and external partnerships. This role serves as the primary storyteller and messaging architect for the organization ensuring that our voice is clear, consistent, and authentically grounded in the communities we serve.
Salary starts at $60,000
Director of Advancement
The Director of Advancement is an executive leadership role responsible for the strategic direction, financial sustainability, and external visibility of the organization. This position leads all fundraising, donor cultivation, partnership development, and advancement communications, and oversees the Office of Advancement & Outreach as a department.
Salary starts at $40,000.
Internships
Our Family Coalition internships offer valuable experience advocating for and supporting Bay Area LGBTQ+ headed families in a well-established, dynamic, team-driven non-profit organization. Interns develop hands-on skills in an area of interest, deepen networks, and connect with like-minded peers, leaving with new knowledge, friendships, and professional references.
Communications Intern
Interns work closely with the Communications team to build professional skills, expand networks, and gain hands-on experience in nonprofit communications and development. Tasks align with each intern’s interests and career goals to ensure a meaningful learning experience.
Policy Intern
The Policy Intern works under the guidance of the Executive Director, Programs Director, and Programs Lead to support OFC’s policy and advocacy efforts that advance equality for LGBTQ+-headed families. This role contributes to public policy campaigns, parent and caregiver advocacy capacity-building, media engagement, and statewide advocacy initiatives. OFC’s policy work has helped advance and implement key legislation, including the FAIR Education Act, the Modern Family Act, SB 951 (Wage Replacement Rate), and SB 729 (Fertility Inclusion and Expansion)
Education Interns
Support OFC’s direct trainings in school communities, as well as help develop our extensive online resources to strengthen anti-bias and LGBTQ-inclusive practices and curricula in K-12 schools. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with our Programs team.
Program Interns
Provide direct support to current and prospective LGBTQ parents and caregivers, from family-building to early years, school years, and beyond, by helping the Programs team deliver over 250 workshops, support groups, and community-building events each year.
Volunteer opportunities
Our Family Coalition is always seeking volunteers to share their talents, energy and ideas with us. You can assist at our various events or in the office, or help design a new project, publicity materials, or a campaign. We greatly appreciate an extra hand in supporting our work to promote a better world for all our families!
