Candace Lopez is a non-profit professional with 20 years of experience in Fundraising and Development. As a Development Generalist, she specializes in Development Operations, Individual Giving Programs, and Hiring & Coaching.

Candace’s fundraising portfolio reflects 2 decades of securing resources for nonprofit organizations in Los Angeles, the SF Bay Area, Austin, and San Antonio, TX, with missions spanning civil liberties, the arts, higher education, domestic violence, gender equity, and queer philanthropy.

In 2023, she launched Small Seeds Consulting with a mission to provide effective fundraising systems for small and mid-size nonprofits. Her consulting portfolio includes Boys & Girls Clubs National, ASHwell Sexual Health + Wellness in Austin, TX, Californians for Justice, DC Doors, and more.

Candace is originally from Texas and will always claim to be a Texan. Her family later moved to Idaho where they all still reside. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication with a minor in Spanish from Pepperdine University and a Master of Arts degree in Latin American Studies with a certificate in Women’s and Gender Studies from The University of Texas at Austin. She lives in Oakland with her beautiful yet weirdo rescue pup, Sugar Baybee. When not consulting or smothering her dog, she is in the kitchen creating joy through food.
